REN DATASIM has partnered with First Genesis, Inc. to bring distributed ledger technology (DLT) into oil and gas process simulation using First Genesis's Xenese™ platform - a technology collaboration that is the subject of a jointly filed, patent-pending system (U.S. Patent Application Publication No. US-20250088376-A1).
This approach uses a network of "virtual actors" that continuously collect real-time and periodic data from a facility's upstream, midstream, and downstream operations, record it on a blockchain ledger, and build a digital twin of the facility from that data. Simulations then run directly against the digital twin, with results written back to the blockchain - giving operatings a verifiable, tamper-resistant record of both the underlying facility data and every simulation performed on it.
In practical terms, this gives clients:
A continuously updated digital twin of their facility built from real, verified data rather than static assumptions
